Junior – The Borough: English Immersion Camp 2017
Our students had an amazing experience at The Borough in Mercedes. They attended a camp led by native counsellors from all over the world.
Junior 5 & 6 «immersed themselves» in order to exercise and consolidate their knowledge of the English language. Various cultural, social, sporting and recreational activities were part of this unique program, in which participants were invited to engage in an intense learning adventure. They left the classroom to explore the «real world». They tried different dishes, sang and danced, changed money in the bank, bought and sold goods, worked as journalists and made up stories for a puppet show. They also went beyond the ordinary and immersed themselves in the traditions of different English-speaking communities as King Arthur’s medieval England, dressed as knights and ladies, used their swords and fought dragons.
