Uno de los objetivos fundamentales del Colegio es fomentar la conciencia solidaria y el espíritu de servicio. Es por ello que el C.S.Team 2018 trabaja de manera intensa desde principio de año. Desde el primer viernes Middle & Senior School realiza los «viernes de tortas»: Los alumnos donan tortas, las venden y recaudan fondos para ayudar a quienes más lo necesitan. El Bingo, ya es una tradición en el Family day.

Como todos los años los alumnos de Junior 4, 5 y 6 presentaron a sus familias las ya tradicionales Open Classes. Cada grupo trabajó en diferentes proyectos los cuales encontraron su cierre perfecto al ser compartidos con las familias. La respuesta de los Padres a la convocatoria superó las expectativas con una asistencia casi perfecta en los tres grupos.

Junior 4: “The explosive Truth about Volcanoes”

Este grupo se dedicó durante casi dos meses a la investigación sobre volcanes. Para dar cuenta de los saberes adquiridos, los chicos confeccionaron una revista informativa sobre el tema y presentaron oralmente sus nuevos conocimientos frente a las familias en una clase abierta impecable. La clase tuvo gran variedad de propuestas: poemas, explicaciones, videos e inclusive un experimento final! Fue maravilloso ver a cada uno de los chicos desenvolverse con tanta naturalidad al exponer oralmente un tema tan complejo. ¡Estamos muy orgullosos de todos ellos!

Junior 5: «We can all be artists”

Junior 5 trabajó arduamente en la investigación de la vida y obra de diversos artistas plásticos profundizando, a su vez, en las características de diferentes corrientes artísticas. Para dar cuenta de los aprendizajes adquiridos, realizaron frente a las familias una detallada exposición oral de todo lo aprendido y crearon su propio museo de obras originales el cual dio el marco perfecto a este día tan especial. Felicitamos a todos los chicos por el esfuerzo y la dedicación durante todo el proceso.

Junior 6 : “Be the change you want to see in the world”

Junior 6 trabajó durante un mes y medio en la investigación de la vida y obra de diferentes personajes influyentes de nuestra historia reciente, como por ejemplo, el Dr. René Gerónimo Favaloro. El objetivo de esta propuesta era analizar las características de personalidad de aquellas personas que con empeño y amor por el prójimo producen cambios que impactan la vida de los demás. Luego de un trabajo arduo, los alumnos de Junior 6 decidieron ser ellos mismos agentes de cambio organizado una campaña solidaria invitando a toda la comunidad del Colegio del Pilar a colaborar con alimentos no perecederos y lápices para contribuir con el Hogar Confiar cito en el Barrio Carabassa del Partido de Pilar. La clase abierta fue, sin dudas, la celebración final de todo este trabajo en la cual los chicos se lucieron representando a héroes y villanos en una obra de teatro desopilante, por momentos y seria y comprometida por otros.

Estamos muy orgullosos de todos nuestros alumnos por su esfuerzo y trabajo comprometido para hacer de sus clases abiertas un éxito total.

As every year, Junior 4, 5 and 6 prepared and presented their traditional Open Classes to their families. Each group worked hard on different projects which found their perfect closure during the open classes that they shared with all their families.

Junior 4: «The explosive Truth about Volcanoes»

Junior 4 dedicated almost two months to investigate volcanoes. To give an account of the acquired knowledge, the children created an informative magazine on the subject and they orally presented their new knowledge in front of the families in an impeccable Open Class. The class included a wide variety of proposals: poems, oral explanations, videos and even a final experiment!

Junior 5: «We can all be artists»

Junior 5 worked hard investigating the life and work of various plastic artists, as well as the characteristics of different artistic movements. In order to give an account of the acquired knowledge, they carried out a detailed oral presentation of everything they had learned and they also created their own museum of original artistic pieces which gave the perfect setting to this special day.

Junior 6: «Be the change you want to see in the world»

Junior 6 worked for a month and a half investigating about the life and work of different influential people of our recent history, such as, Dr. René Gerónimo Favaloro. The purpose of this project was to analyze the personality characteristics of those people who with commitment and love for others, produce changes that impact the lives of others. After an arduous job, Junior 6 decided to be true agents of change by organizing a solidarity campaign inviting the entire community of Colegio del Pilar to collaborate with non-perishable food and pencils to contribute to the Hogar Confiar. The Open Class was, without a doubt, the final celebration of all this hard work in which the children represented both heroes and villains in a hilarious yet commited play.

We are very proud of all of our students for their effort and committed work to make their Open Classes complete success.

¡Junio fue un mes de muchas actividades!

Una vez más, el último miércoles del mes, llevamos adelante el proyecto de LECTURA SIMULTÁNEA con el objetivo de seguir fomentando el placer por la lectura en nuestros niños. Todo Kinder compartió la lectura del cuento FUERA MONSTRUO. La idea es que se aproximen a la literatura para estimular su imaginación, curiosidad y fantasía.

Todas las salas recordaron con mucho respeto a Manuel Belgrano, una figura emblemática de nuestra historia.

Once again, on the last Wednesday of the month, we carried out the SIMULTANEOUS READING Project with the aim of continuing to promote the pleasure of reading in our children. All Kinder shared the reading of the story OUT MONSTER. The idea is that they approach literature to stimulate their imagination, curiosity and fantasy.

Kinder honored with great respect Manuel Belgrano, an emblematic figure of our history.

Kinder 2 desarrolló la unidad “Reconociendo nuestro cuerpo” con el propósito de que los niños descubran las posibilidades y capacidades que tiene su cuerpo. Comenzaron conversando acerca de las distintas partes del cuerpo; Jugaron con gestos y expresiones; compartieron videos de canciones; armaron rompecabezas; contornearon su cuerpo y armaron una figura con partes del cuerpo.

También han estado llevando a cabo una «Secuencia de didáctica de motricidad gruesa». En estas actividades, se les ofreció a los niños la posibilidad de experimentar y desarrollar nuevas experiencias corporales y de movimiento. Podrían explorar diferentes movimientos del cuerpo, ya que tenían que arrastrarse por los túneles, pasar por debajo de las mesas, sillas y cuerdas elásticas.

Kinder 2 developed the unit «Recognizing our body» in order that children discover the possibilities and capabilities of their body. They began talking about the different parts of the body; They played with gestures and expressions; they shared videos of songs; they put together puzzles; They contoured their bodies and put together a figure using body parts.

They also have been carrying out a “Gross Motor Learning Sequence”. In these activities, the children were offered the possibility to experience and develop new body and movement experiences. They could explore different body movements as they had to crawl across the tunnels, creep under the tables, chairs and elastic ropes.

Kinder 3 se mostró muy entusiasmado con su proyecto “El cuerpo y los sentidos”. Recorrieron los sentidos y aprendieron cómo funcionan. Se iniciaron en el conocimiento y cuidado del propio cuerpo y experimentaron con los distintos materiales.

Exploraron los diferentes sentidos caminando descalzos siguiendo un camino de texturas; con una «experiencia especial de degustación»; distinguiendo diferentes perfumes; jugando con colores y reconociendo instrumentos musicales.

Kinder 3 was very enthusiastic about the project «The body and the senses». They investigated the senses and learned their function. They began in the knowledge and care of their own body and experimented with the different materials.

They explored the different senses by walking barefoot following a path of textures; with a «special tasting experience»; distinguishing different perfumes; playing with colours and recognizing musical instruments.

Kinder 4 realizó trabajos alusivos al Día de la Bandera. Estuvo a cargo de la organización del acto junto con los alumnos de Junior 4.Investigaron acerca de la historia de nuestra Bandera y aprendieron acerca de la vida de Manuel Belgrano. Vestidos de celeste, blanco y amarillo realizaron una emotiva expresión corporal utilizando barriletes celestes y blanco recreando la bandera.

Continuaron trabajando con la banda numérica y afianzando la construcción del número con diferentes juegos. Se divirtieron buscando el número correcto en el juego de las sillas o utilizando dados gigantes.

Kinder 4 made art works alluding to the Day of the Flag. They were in charge of the organization of the event together with the students of Junior 4. They investigated about the history of our Flag and learned about the life of Manuel Belgrano. Dressed up in blue, yellow and white they danced an emotional body expression using light blue and white kites recreating the flag.

They continued working with the number band and strengthening the construction of the number with different games. They had fun looking for the right number playing Musical Chairs or using giant dices.

Kinder 5 ha estado trabajando con el cuento de la cabeza a los pies que involucró diferentes movimientos de animales y los niños tuvieron que imitar a cada animal con sus características particulares, como un elefante, un pingüino, etc. En la sala los niños tuvieron la oportunidad de dramatizar, caminar, imitar y también bailar como ellos imaginan que el animal lo haría!

También se prepararon para el Mundial de Fútbol de Rusia, realizaron actividades de investigación sobre los diferentes deportes: sus reglas, elementos, la protección del cuerpo en las actividades deportivas y su función social. Armaron un metegol con material descartable y cada uno inventó un nombre para su equipo.

¿Qué es un reglamento? ¿Para qué sirve? ¿Dónde queda Rusia? ¿Cómo son las banderas de los países participantes? ¿Quiénes participan del Mundial de fútbol 2018? Fueron algunas de las preguntas que se plantearon los niños.

Y para encontrar las respuestas… Visitaron la biblioteca, miraron videos, practicaron deportes, trabajaron en el cuaderno y compartieron los partidos de Argentina con todos los amigos.

Kinder 5 has been working with the Story from Head to Toes which involved different animal movements and the children had to imitate each animal with their particular characteristics, such as an elephant, a penguin, etc. In the classroom the children were given the chance to dramatize, walk, imitating it and also dance like they imagine the animal would!

They also prepared for the World Cup of Russia, conducted research activities on different sports: their rules, elements, the protection of the body in sports activities and their social function. They put together a football with disposable material and each invented a name for their team.

 What is a regulation? What is it for? Where is Russia? How are the flags of the participating countries? Who participates in the 2018 World Cup? They were some of the questions that the children proposed.

And to find the answers … They visited the library, watched videos, played sports, worked on the copybook and shared Argentina’s matches with all their friends.

Los juegos en rincones involucran a todos los niños que juegan y trabajan en varias tareas en la misma clase, bajo la supervisión del maestro. Los alumnos pueden elegir dónde jugar de acuerdo con sus intereses. Esta es una oportunidad para que los maestros satisfagan las necesidades individuales de los niños en las áreas centrales de aprendizaje. La clase está armada con una variedad de actividades para fomentar su aprendizaje. Les encanta vestirse en el Drama Corner y participar en «Juego dramático». También les gusta jugar con juegos tranquilos y de alfabetización, donde pueden trabajar a su propio ritmo de acuerdo con su etapa de desarrollo.

Art Corner es uno de sus favoritos donde pintan o juegan con mucha creatividad. Durante estas actividades, los niños observan, piensan, sienten y, lo más importante, crean. Pueden pintar con sus manos libremente, manipular un pincel, crayones, lápices y tijeras en el papel. Mientras más practican pintando, coloreando y dibujando, más fuertes se vuelven sus manos y más listos están para sostener un lápiz. Cortar con tijeras, manipular pegamento y doblar papel fortalecen las habilidades motoras finas.

También visitan el rincón de bloques para construir con bloques, imantados, mecanos, legos, dakis y grandes bloques.

Learning Corners involves all the children playing and working on various tasks in the same classroom, under the supervision of the teacher.Children are able to choose where to play according to their interests. This is an opportunity for teachers to meet children’s individual needs in core learning areas. The classroom is set up with a variety of activities to encourage their learning. They love dressing up in the Drama Corner and engage in “Pretend Play”. They also like playing in the Quiet and Literacy Corners where they are able to work at their own pace according to their stage of development.

The Art Corners is one of their favourites where they paint or play with dough with great creativity. Art activities play a relevant role in kindergarten. During these activities, the children observe, think, feel and, most importantly, create. They are able to paint using their hands freely, manipulate a paintbrush, crayon, pencils, and scissors on the paper. The more practice they get painting, colouring and drawing, the stronger their hands become and the more ready they are to hold a pencil. Cutting with scissors, manipulating glue and paper, and folding paper all strengthen fine motor skills.

 They also visit the Construction Centre to build with, magnetized blocks, mecanos, Legos, dakis, and big blocks.

THEIR CONSTRUCTIONS ARE FABULOUS!!!
