Kinder – Kinder 4 Art Project
During the last weeks, Kinder 4 has been exploring the work of prestigious artists such as Miró and Quinquela Martín. They learnt about their different styles of painting, naming characteristics of each one.
Afterwards they made their own productions, creating colourful drawings with boats in Buenos Aires Port. They made a lovely mural to decorate the classroom.
Later, Paula introduced Joan Miró. They investigated that he painted with curvy lines and bright colours. They pretended to be Joan Miró and made beautiful drawings with curvy lines.
They also created a self-portrait. Each child was given a mirror to observe their facial features and look for details. This project encouraged them to draw beyond what they think they see…draw what is really there.
It was a lovely class project and the children enjoyed every activity!
